Pacific Standard Time sets us apart. So, for three days in June, we’re bringing PST to CST! Visit our Kinzie Showroom (220 W. Kinzie, right across from The Mart) during NeoCon and experience so much of what makes Bentley… Bentley. And be sure to join us Monday evening, June 10, at The Arts Club of Chicago (201 East Ontario Street) from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Sip cocktails while you enjoy exclusive access to this modernist architectural gem.
California grown.
When Bentley opened its doors 45 years ago in Los Angeles, we made a mark in an industry that predominately operates in the southeast. Today, as California’s only commercial carpet manufacturer, we continue to make a statement. “California is special. It’s a diverse, creative hub of art and tech, fashion and food. It’s a leader in environmental rigor and sustainability standards,” emphasizes Jay Brown, president and COO. “California is Bentley, so it’s only fitting that in this anniversary year, we celebrate what makes us unique.”
In the Market: Our Latest Launches
Pacific Standard Time™
Pacific Standard Time embodies what makes us stand out in the industry—and stand up to tests of time, brought to life in three standout styles. Inspired by continuity, things blended and finely detailed, Chronologies™ mixes an earthy authenticity with pure minimalism, and a dash of surprising texture. Lot 45™, an homage to Bentley’s history of design, plots the interconnectedness of moments in time. With broken and interlocking lines, Now/Then visually attaches to what it means to be modern. And to be modern speaks to the living timeline of design.
Prima Vista™—A Luxe Wool Product Category
Prima Vista is Bentley’s specialty product category—made of 100% New Zealand wool, which is celebrated for its color consistency and longevity. The new brand was “borne from the A&D community’s desire for more luxurious, custom solutions,” explains Suzanne Sullivan, vice president, Prima Vista and Specialty Products for Bentley. “As the corporate environment, in particular, shifted post-pandemic, and the high-end, hospitality-inspired aesthetic took off across segments, Bentley responded with Prima Vista.” Prima Vista currently includes two premium product lines: handmade, custom wool area rugs and machine-made wool broadloom.
Sweater Collection: Machine Made Wool Broadloom
Proving that even the most common objects can be elegant, the Sweater Collection elevates the classic wardrobe staple with four minimalist textures, aptly named to capture the familiar comfort of our favorite wools: Crew Neck™, Hoodie™, Pullover™ and Quarter Zip™. All four styles are offered in a palette of four sophisticated neutrals—Camp Fire, Snuggle Up, Apres Ski and Cozy Up—composed with low-contrast, heathered yarns for added depth and detail. Machine made in the U.S., the products are available as 12 ft. broadloom as well as in a number of area rugs dimensions.
Prima Vista—Handmade Custom Area Rugs
Hand tufted, hand loomed and hand knotted, every Prima Vista area rug is handmade with care by expert artisans who have perfected the practice of ancient rug-making techniques. The rugs are fully customizable by size, shape and edge detail. Wool/silk blends are also available for any spaces requiring a little shimmer.
Celebrating Community
Giving Back: Our Annual Charitable Commitment
In addition to introducing our latest products, this time each year we also launch a social impact collaboration with an organization and mission close to our hearts—and to our community in/around Los Angeles. We share these stories with you not for donations but for inspiration. Our hope is for others to be moved to find similar organizations with like-minded values that are making a difference where it matters most: in communities where we work, live and play.
In 2024, Bentley pledges financial and volunteer support to help further the mission of Two Bit Circus, a LA-based international nonprofit foundation dedicated to driving change in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) education by creating learning experiences for children that inspire entrepreneurship, encourage invention, and instill a sustainability mindset. Two Bit Circus—and its four organizations: LA Makerspace, STEAM Carnival, Imagination.org and Trash for Teaching—imagines a world where all kids in all economic situations are empowered to be creative thinkers and doers, and encouraged to make their very best ideas happen.
We’re proud to join Two Bit Circus under their big top and make an impact in our LA community and beyond. Learn more: https://twobitcircus.org/about-us/mission-vision-values/
Supporting Local Artisans: Our PST Swag
Bentley is always searching for and supporting local artisans and makers. This year, we collaborated with Unearth Malee to create two LA-inspired aromatherapy scents. Unearth Malee is a woman-owned small business that leverages the many benefits of Asian herbs and spices to create its organic soaps and other personal and home care products. Founder Marie uses her platform and products to raise awareness of the environmental and social consequences of the destruction of rainforests in Indonesia and Malaysia to create palm oil plantations.
